Probably got lucky on this one.

Short waiting time, I've only seen a few trucks and one car going this way. While driving, almost no traffic passed us before we reached Kamloops.

Dave, a truck driver, stopped and brought me all the way to Vancouver, despite not necessarily being allowed. He offered me lunch and when he stopped at night, he offered me to sleep in his truck. In the morning, he waited for me and dropped me close to a train stop so I could keep going downtown

US Border control. If you try hitchhiking from Canada the best thing to do is walking across the border from White Rock and start hitchhiking behind the border control.

Nobody likes to bring foreigners across the border.

Not such a bad spot if you're going east - I even got a ride after dark. Easy access to public transit, good viewing distance, room to pull over, an adjacent empty lot to sleep in if your luck is not so good.

Two boys (one with dredlocks) = 5 hours of waiting without succcess.
After 5 hours we moved to the different spot and never waited more than 1,5h on the way to Kelowna.
But place looks like very good: lots of cars passing not so fast with lots of space to stop.

Was an excellent spot for me, heading East, then North on Hwy 1.

Good spot, but I had to wait a hour and half under the rain ...

Not a bad spot but most drivers don't go further than Abbotsford

Worse border crossing ever in both ways! US patrol officier found my blog address in my backpack and went online to read it. He also read my journal. I got denied entrance because he found some comments about minor offences while I was in California...
Watch out!

Heavy traffic, but enough space to stop.

I hitchhiked from the visitor center parking lot. I got a ride to East Surrey within 30 mins.

Actually the map is a bit messy anyway when u turn right at the previous juction from the main street i did walk like on the entrance of the freeway up yo the split where the right go upward and the left straight into the freeway i waited at that junction car usually slow. Due to the high density of the congestion so basicly after less than 10 min a car wave at me and he didnt had to stop i just jumped in ! Took me 350 km up i wass heading to alaska but of course wasnt expecting s traight lift lol, and wass 16:20 . So really good spot
